Accessories for Pets

I have always thought that picking out accessories for pets is almost an art. Every pet no matter whether it’s a dog, cat or Parrot they all have their own personalities so bare this in mind when selecting a suitable toy. For example you don't want to put a Pit Bull in a pink sweater do you, or a spiky collar on a Chihuahua so keep these things in mind when shopping for your pet.

It is always interesting to see how owners dress their pets. When deciding on an accessory it’s good to get some ideas by visiting a dog walking park and see what others have done - this can be an amusing past time. Just make sure you observe the type and color of clothing is worn by other dog types.

Another option is to try creating your own accessories - this can be inexpensive and fun to do. Many types of articles can be made at home with some imagination and a bit of time. When knitting a tube for a small dog make sure it is made in the correct proportion - nothing looks sillier than a small dog with an ill fitting garment.

Another way is to swap accessories with other owners - this can be achieved by visiting many of the online forums of animal lovers and can reduce what can be an expensive process. One place to try is Craig’s List. Not only is this a fun and inexpensive way to acquire accessories it is a good way to meet fellow pet owners. It is always nice to meet someone who has the same interests that you do and many lifelong friendships have started this way.
